I was thrilled to have my application selected. That support is separate from the charitable fundraising: donations through the campaign go to the four cancer charities, not to my travel costs.

I want to say an enormous thank you to the businesses and individuals who have given their time, donated prizes and helped spread the word. Months of conversations across Perton, Codsall, Tettenhall, Shifnal, Bilbrook and beyond have grown into something I couldn't have achieved alone.
From independent cafés, restaurants, barbers and beauty businesses to Wolves, West Midlands Safari Park and Blue Planet Aquarium, the generosity has been extraordinary. More than 55 donated prizes mean more reasons for people to get involved — and more support for the four charities.
